Office Update
As many of you know, we have been remodeling the office to accommodate for a growing practice.  This is due to all the good will our patients have given us in regard to referring friends and family to our practice.  Thank you for your referrals.  We have leased more space in the building below us.  We will be moving our archived files, x-rays, and break room downstairs.  This will allow us to add one more adjusting room upstairs, and give us the space we need to add intersegmental traction tables to each adjusting room.  We already have one intersegmental traction table and two more are on order.  Once we get the remodel complete, I will be having most everyone use the intersegmental traction after their adjustment.  You are really going to like this benefit!

Patient of the month
Roman is our patient of the month.  This is a really important case because this is one of those problems that people do not like to talk about, but it's a MAJOR benefit when I help someone with this problem.  Therefore, it is important to get the word out.  Roman was wetting the bed at night.  This is called nocturnal enuresis.  Roman had overflowing diapers every night and mom and dad were getting to a point where they thought it was way too much.  They felt he had a chronic bed wetting problem, and from the sound of it, he did.  How miserable for Roman to wake up soaked.  Poor guy.  They heard me talk about bed wetting and chiropractic care in the past so they thought... why not give me a try.  Good idea!  After one visit he was much improved.  His dad said he never would have believed it, had he not seen it for himself.  After a few visits his dad wrote in Romans chart"At least 3 out of 4 pairs of training pants are 100% dry in the morning since treatment began!!  This is no coincidence."  That's when I asked Pete (Roman's dad) if I could please share this with everyone.  I went on to tell him there is some poor kid out there who is wetting his bed every night who needs my help and we need to get the word out.  Over the past 12 years I have helped dozens of kids with this problem, just by adjusting the spine.  Such a simple solution for such a big problem.  Can you imagine how much help this would be for a 12 year old who is fearful to have a friend spend the night.  Or worse yet, is scared to death to even think about spending the night at a friends house.  It's not just kids either, I have helped adults with leaky bladders also.  So there you go... the word is out!  And thank you Roman for giving us a face to the problem, so we can relate to you and your great success.  And thank you Pete and Aerry, Roman's parents.

Intersegmental traction
Pictured above is a cutaway view of an intersegmental traction table.  Intersegmental traction provides passive motion to the spine for the purpose of stretching spinal joints and increasing mobility.  The patient lies face up on the table, which has padded roller cams beneath its' surface. These padded cams slowly travel back and forth along the spine stretching spinal joints.  This allows for increased circulation, increased mobility and re-animation of the synovial fluid.  This is like a mini exercise routine for each and every spinal joint.  Movement of the joints is very important.  When a joint becomes immobile it begins to break down; the discs loose their height; the joint can become arthritic; and the ligaments can become less elastic and harden.  When it comes to joints its' "move it or loose it".

Gift Certificates
Last year we made 25 special gift certificates available, and they all sold out very fast, so this year we are making 50 of them available.  When you buy a gift certificate for another you may purchase a spinal adjustment for $25.00, of you may purchase all first day services (adjustment, exam, x-ray)  for a new patient for $56.00.  This is a great time to help those in need of chiropractic care.  Please take this opportunity to give someone you care about the gift of chiropractic.

Medical saving accounts
We have many patients who have medical saving accounts.  Often times, if the balance is left unused it will go back to $0.00 at the beginning of the year.  What an opportunity!  Use it or loose it!  You can use it for any service or product at our office, including pillows, supports, and supplements.

Insurance deductibles
Many patients have a new deductible that start over in January.  If you are one of them, now's the time for a "tune up".

New Insurance Cards
Many patients will be issued a new insurance card at the beginning of the year.  If you receive a new card, will you please let us know so we can keep your record up to date.

In closing
Thank you for your readership.  There's never a shortage of adjustments around here, so keep on sending in all those tough cases (and not-so tough ones too).  We're having a lot of fun helping all your friends and family.  I bet you know someone I can help.  Can you imagine how much fun I have helping people like Roman?  Every day I'm seeing things like that.  Chiropractic care is POWERFUL.  I'm grateful to have many patients and many referrals.  Thank you!!!!
